  • Binomial Nomenclature: Who Developed the Two-Part Biological Naming System?
The two-part naming system used in biology is called binomial nomenclature. It was developed by Carl Linnaeus (also known as Carolus Linnaeus), a Swedish botanist, physician, and zoologist.

Linnaeus published his system in his book *Systema Naturae* in 1735, and it has been the standard for naming species ever since.
