  • Animal Cell vs. Plant Cell: The Unique Role of Centrioles
One structure found in animal cells but not plant cells is the centriole.

Centrioles are involved in cell division, specifically in the formation of microtubules that help separate chromosomes during mitosis and meiosis. Plant cells, on the other hand, use microtubules for cell division but don't have centrioles. They have a structure called the centrosome instead, which also functions in microtubule organization.
