  • Chloroplasts: The Powerhouses That Fuel Plant Life
The organelle that produces food for plant cells is the chloroplast.

    Here's why:

    * Photosynthesis: Chloroplasts are the sites of photosynthesis. This is the process where plants use sunlight, water, and carbon dioxide to create glucose (sugar) for energy.

    * Green Pigment: Chloroplasts contain the green pigment chlorophyll, which absorbs sunlight energy for photosynthesis.

So, while plant cells have other organelles that perform vital functions, the chloroplast is the one responsible for producing the food they need to survive.
