  • Endotherms: Organisms That Regulate Their Own Body Temperature
Organisms that can maintain their own internal body temperature without help from an outside source are called endotherms.

Here are some examples of endotherms:

    * Mammals: Humans, dogs, cats, whales, etc.

    * Birds: Eagles, penguins, sparrows, etc.

Endotherms are able to regulate their body temperature through internal mechanisms such as:

    * Metabolism: They generate heat through metabolic processes.

    * Insulation: They have fur, feathers, or blubber to help trap heat.

    * Sweating or panting: They can cool themselves down by evaporating water.

    * Shivering: They can generate heat by rapidly contracting muscles.

Let me know if you'd like to know more about endotherms!
