  • Transfer RNA (tRNA): The RNA Carrying Amino Acids for Protein Synthesis
The type of RNA that has amino acids covalently attached is transfer RNA (tRNA).

    Here's why:

    * tRNA's role: tRNA molecules are responsible for carrying specific amino acids to the ribosome during protein synthesis.

    * Anticodon: Each tRNA molecule has an anticodon that recognizes a specific codon on the messenger RNA (mRNA).

    * Amino acid attachment: The corresponding amino acid is covalently attached to the tRNA at its 3' end, a specific site called the acceptor stem.

This attachment is crucial for the accurate translation of genetic information into proteins.
