  • Protein Synthesis in Plant Cells: Location & Process
The site of protein synthesis in plant cells is the ribosome.

Ribosomes are small organelles found in the cytoplasm of all cells, both plant and animal. They are responsible for translating the genetic code from mRNA into a chain of amino acids, which then fold into a functional protein.

While the ribosomes are the primary site of protein synthesis, it's worth noting that some proteins are synthesized in other locations within the plant cell, such as the chloroplasts and mitochondria. These organelles have their own ribosomes and DNA, and they synthesize proteins necessary for their own function.
