  • Plant Cells and the Nucleus: Understanding Cell Structure
Plant cells do not have cells without a nucleus. All plant cells, like all eukaryotic cells, have a nucleus.

    Here's why:

    * Nucleus: The nucleus is the control center of the cell, containing the genetic material (DNA) that directs all cellular activities.

    * Eukaryotic cells: Plant cells are eukaryotic cells, meaning they have a membrane-bound nucleus and other organelles.

Prokaryotic cells (like bacteria) are the only type of cells that lack a nucleus. They have their DNA in a region called the nucleoid, but it's not enclosed by a membrane.
