    Here's how to figure that out:

    * Sex cells (gametes) are haploid: This means they have half the number of chromosomes as regular body cells.

    * Body cells (somatic cells) are diploid: They have a full set of chromosomes.

    Since the sex cell has 20 chromosomes, a body cell would have 40 chromosomes.
