    There isn't one single organelle solely responsible for cell growth. Cell growth is a complex process involving multiple organelles working together:

    * Ribosomes: These are responsible for protein synthesis, which is essential for building new cellular components and structures.

    * Endoplasmic Reticulum (ER): The ER plays a crucial role in the synthesis, folding, and modification of proteins and lipids, providing the building blocks for cell growth.

    * Golgi Apparatus: This organelle processes and packages proteins and lipids, preparing them for transport to other parts of the cell or for secretion.

    * Mitochondria: These are the powerhouses of the cell, providing the energy (ATP) needed for all cellular processes, including growth.

    * Lysosomes: These organelles break down cellular waste and debris, providing the building blocks for new structures.

    * Nucleus: The nucleus contains the cell's genetic material (DNA), which provides the instructions for protein synthesis and all cellular processes, including growth.

    So, while no single organelle is solely responsible, the coordinated action of these organelles ensures that the cell grows and maintains its functions.
