  • Cellular Respiration: Locations of Glycolysis, Krebs Cycle & Electron Transport Chain
    The two main stages of respiration occur in different locations within the cell:

    * Glycolysis: This first stage occurs in the cytoplasm of the cell.

    * Krebs Cycle and Electron Transport Chain: These stages occur in the mitochondria, specifically within the matrix and the inner membrane of the mitochondria, respectively.
