  • Apple Cells: Eukaryotic or Prokaryotic? Understanding Plant Cell Structure
An apple is eukaryotic. Here's why:

    * Eukaryotic cells have a true nucleus, which contains their genetic material (DNA). They also have other membrane-bound organelles, like mitochondria and chloroplasts.

    * Prokaryotic cells are simpler, lacking a nucleus and other membrane-bound organelles.

Since apples are made of complex plant cells with a nucleus, they are eukaryotic.
