  • Prokaryotic Cells: Understanding Cells Without a Nucleus
The type of cell that has no nucleus is called a prokaryotic cell.

    Here's why:

    * Prokaryotic cells are simple cells found in single-celled organisms like bacteria and archaea. They lack a membrane-bound nucleus and other membrane-bound organelles. Their DNA is located in a region called the nucleoid, but it's not enclosed within a membrane.

    * Eukaryotic cells, which make up plants, animals, fungi, and protists, have a true nucleus that contains their genetic material (DNA).
