  • Meiosis: Understanding the Formation of Haploid Nuclei
    Meiosis results in the formation of four nuclei.

    Here's why:

    * Meiosis I: A single diploid cell divides into two haploid cells.

    * Meiosis II: Each of these haploid cells then divides again, resulting in a total of four haploid cells.

    These four haploid nuclei are contained within four separate cells, which will eventually mature into gametes (sperm or egg cells).
