  • Budding Reproduction: Examples & How It Works
Many organisms can reproduce through budding, but some of the most common examples include:

    * Yeast: A single-celled fungus that buds off a smaller version of itself.

    * Hydra: A freshwater polyp that buds off smaller polyps from its body wall.

    * Sponges: Simple multicellular organisms that can bud off new individuals from their outer layer.

    * Coral: Marine invertebrates that reproduce asexually by budding.

    * Sea anemones: Similar to hydras, these marine animals can also bud off new individuals.

Budding is a form of asexual reproduction where a new organism develops from an outgrowth or bud on the parent organism. This bud eventually detaches and grows into a new individual genetically identical to the parent.
