  • Amino Acids: Plants vs. Animals - Sources & Synthesis
Amino acids are found in both plants and animals.

    Here's why:

    * Plants are able to synthesize all 20 amino acids necessary for protein production through photosynthesis.

    * Animals obtain essential amino acids from their diet, which is often derived from plants or other animals that have consumed plants. They cannot synthesize all 20 amino acids themselves.

So, while both plants and animals use amino acids to build proteins, their sources and abilities to synthesize them differ.
