  • Turtles vs. Frogs: Which is Closer to Humans?
Frogs are more closely related to humans than turtles are.

    Here's why:

    * Evolutionary History: Both humans and frogs belong to the group of vertebrates called tetrapods, which means they have four limbs (or descended from ancestors with four limbs). Turtles, while also vertebrates, branched off from the evolutionary line much earlier.

    * Shared Characteristics: Humans and frogs share a common ancestor that lived millions of years ago. We share many skeletal and organ system similarities, such as a backbone, a skull, and a central nervous system. Turtles, on the other hand, have evolved unique features like their shell and a more primitive respiratory system.

In short: While turtles are fascinating creatures, humans and frogs are closer cousins on the tree of life.
