  • Uracil: The Unique Base Found Only in RNA - DNA vs RNA
The base found exclusively in RNA is uracil (U).

    Here's why:

    * DNA uses thymine (T) instead of uracil. This is one of the key differences between DNA and RNA.

    * Uracil pairs with adenine (A) in RNA, just like thymine pairs with adenine in DNA.

So, while all the other bases (adenine, guanine, and cytosine) are found in both DNA and RNA, uracil is unique to RNA.
