  • Life in the Hadean Eon: Did Organisms Exist?
The Hadean eon (4.5 to 4.0 billion years ago) was a time of intense heat and bombardment, making it extremely unlikely that any life as we know it could have existed.

    Here's why:

    * Extreme temperatures: The Earth was still forming and incredibly hot.

    * Constant bombardment: The Earth was constantly bombarded by meteoroids, asteroids, and comets, making it a very hostile environment.

    * Lack of liquid water: The oceans as we know them did not exist yet. Water may have been present in the form of steam or ice, but not in a liquid form conducive to life.

Therefore, no organisms are known to have emerged during the Hadean eon. The earliest evidence of life on Earth comes from the Archaean eon (4.0 to 2.5 billion years ago), with the discovery of fossilized stromatolites, layered structures formed by mats of cyanobacteria.
