  • Amber Finds: Beetles vs. Rabbits – What's More Likely?
A beetle is much more likely to be found in amber than a rabbit. Here's why:

    * Size: Beetles are small insects, making them more likely to be trapped in the sticky resin that forms amber. Rabbits, on the other hand, are much larger and would be far less likely to get caught.

    * Habitat: Beetles are common in forests, where resin-producing trees like pines grow. Rabbits, while they can inhabit forests, are not as prevalent there.

    * Decomposition: Amber preserves things very well because it acts as a sealant. However, the process of decay is much faster in larger organisms like rabbits. Their bodies would decompose before they could be fully encased in resin.

While it's not impossible for a rabbit to be found in amber, it would be an extremely rare and remarkable discovery.
