  • Plant vs. Animal Cells: Key Distinguishing Features
Here are two key features that distinguish plant cells from animal cells:

    1. Cell Wall: Plant cells have a rigid cell wall made of cellulose that surrounds the cell membrane. This wall provides structural support and protection for the cell. Animal cells lack this rigid outer layer.

    2. Chloroplasts: Plant cells contain chloroplasts, which are organelles responsible for photosynthesis. Chloroplasts contain chlorophyll, the green pigment that captures light energy. Animal cells do not have chloroplasts and cannot perform photosynthesis.
