  • Cell Biology: Which Kingdoms Contain Cells?
Cells are the basic building blocks of all living organisms. Therefore, cells belong to all five kingdoms of life:

    * Animalia: Animals are multicellular organisms made up of eukaryotic cells.

    * Plantae: Plants are multicellular organisms made up of eukaryotic cells.

    * Fungi: Fungi are multicellular or unicellular organisms made up of eukaryotic cells.

    * Protista: Protists are single-celled eukaryotic organisms.

    * Monera: Monera is a kingdom that includes bacteria and archaea, which are unicellular prokaryotic organisms.

So, regardless of the kingdom, all living organisms are made up of cells.
