  • Chloroplast Location: Where are They Found in Cells?
Chloroplasts are found in plant cells and some algae cells.

They are not found in animal cells or fungal cells.

This is because chloroplasts are the organelles responsible for photosynthesis, the process of converting light energy into chemical energy (sugars). Plants and algae need to perform photosynthesis to produce their own food, while animals and fungi get their energy from consuming other organisms.
