    Palisade cells belong to the leaf of a plant.

    More specifically, they are found in the mesophyll layer, which is the tissue between the upper and lower epidermis of a leaf. Palisade cells are responsible for photosynthesis, as they contain many chloroplasts, the organelles where photosynthesis takes place.
