  • Prokaryotes: Plant vs. Animal Cells - Understanding Cellular Differences
Prokaryotes are not found in either plant or animal cells.

    Here's why:

    * Prokaryotes are single-celled organisms that lack a nucleus and other membrane-bound organelles. Examples include bacteria and archaea.

    * Plant and animal cells are eukaryotic cells. This means they have a nucleus, membrane-bound organelles, and are generally much larger and more complex than prokaryotes.

Prokaryotes and eukaryotes are distinct domains of life with different evolutionary histories and cellular structures.
