  • Brain Lobes: Understanding the Four Main Regions and Their Functions
The subdivisions of the brain are called lobes.

Here are the four main lobes of the brain:

    * Frontal lobe: Located at the front of the brain, responsible for planning, complex behavior, decision-making, and language.

    * Parietal lobe: Located behind the frontal lobe, responsible for processing sensory information, spatial awareness, and attention.

    * Temporal lobe: Located below the parietal lobe, responsible for auditory processing, memory, and language comprehension.

    * Occipital lobe: Located at the back of the brain, responsible for processing visual information.

In addition to these lobes, the brain also has other important structures such as the cerebellum, brainstem, and limbic system.
