  • Where is DNA Located? Exploring the Nucleus and Mitochondria
DNA is found in two organelles:

    1. Nucleus: This is the main location for DNA in eukaryotic cells. It's where most of the cell's genetic material is stored and replicated.

    2. Mitochondria: These organelles have their own DNA, separate from the nuclear DNA. This mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) is circular and encodes for some of the proteins necessary for mitochondrial function.
