  • Cell Membrane: A Shared Feature of Plant and Animal Cells
The structure found in both plant and animal cells is the cell membrane.

    Here's why:

    * Cell membrane: This is the outer boundary of all cells, controlling what enters and leaves the cell. It's essential for both plant and animal cells to maintain their internal environment and carry out necessary functions.

While both plant and animal cells have a cell membrane, they also have some key differences:

    * Plant cells have a cell wall, which provides structural support and rigidity. Animal cells do not.

    * Plant cells have chloroplasts, which are responsible for photosynthesis. Animal cells do not.

    * Plant cells have a large central vacuole, which stores water and nutrients. Animal cells may have smaller vacuoles.
