    RNA typically has one polynucleotide strand.

    While DNA is double-stranded, RNA is single-stranded. This means it only has one chain of nucleotides linked together.

    However, it's important to note that RNA can sometimes fold back on itself, forming complex three-dimensional structures. This folding is due to the pairing of complementary bases within the single strand, similar to how DNA strands pair.
