  • Golgi Apparatus: Function & Absence in Bacterial Cells
Bacteria cells do not have a Golgi apparatus.

The Golgi apparatus is a membrane-bound organelle found in eukaryotic cells (cells with a nucleus). It plays a vital role in processing, packaging, and sorting proteins and lipids that are synthesized in the endoplasmic reticulum (ER).

Bacteria cells are prokaryotic cells, meaning they lack a nucleus and other membrane-bound organelles like the Golgi apparatus. They have a different system for protein synthesis, processing, and secretion.
