  • Anton van Leeuwenhoek: Pioneer of Microbiology - Father of Bacteriology & Protozoology
The father of bacteriology and protozoology is Anton van Leeuwenhoek.

He was a Dutch scientist who is famous for his pioneering work with microscopes. While he wasn't the first to discover microorganisms, he was the first to develop microscopes powerful enough to see them in detail. He observed and documented bacteria, protozoa, yeast, and even blood cells, laying the foundation for the fields of bacteriology and protozoology.
