  • Opposing Biological Processes: Photosynthesis vs. Respiration & Evaporation vs. Condensation
Here are two pairs of opposite processes:

    1. Photosynthesis and Respiration:

    * Photosynthesis: Plants use sunlight, water, and carbon dioxide to create glucose (sugar) and oxygen. This is an anabolic process, building complex molecules from simpler ones.

    * Respiration: Animals and plants break down glucose with oxygen to release energy, water, and carbon dioxide. This is a catabolic process, breaking down complex molecules into simpler ones.

    2. Evaporation and Condensation:

    * Evaporation: Liquid water absorbs heat energy and transforms into water vapor (gas). This is a phase change from liquid to gas.

    * Condensation: Water vapor loses heat energy and transforms back into liquid water. This is a phase change from gas to liquid.
