  • mRNA Transcription: How DNA's Code is Copied
    mRNA is transcribed from DNA.

    Here's how it works:

    * DNA contains the genetic code for an organism.

    * Transcription is the process where an enzyme called RNA polymerase reads the DNA sequence and creates a complementary copy in the form of mRNA.

    * This mRNA molecule then leaves the nucleus and travels to the ribosomes, where translation occurs.

    * During translation, the mRNA sequence is read to assemble amino acids into a protein.

So, while mRNA is involved in the synthesis of proteins, it's not the "transcriber" – that role belongs to DNA.
