Understanding the Base Pairing Rules
* Adenine (A) pairs with Uracil (U)
* Guanine (G) pairs with Cytosine (C)
tRNA Anticodons
tRNA molecules have a region called the anticodon, which binds to the codon on mRNA. The anticodon sequence is complementary to the mRNA codon.
Finding the tRNA Anticodons
1. AUG: The mRNA codon AUG codes for methionine (Met). The corresponding tRNA anticodon would be UAC.
2. ACU: The mRNA codon ACU codes for threonine (Thr). The corresponding tRNA anticodon would be UGA.
3. AGC: The mRNA codon AGC codes for serine (Ser). The corresponding tRNA anticodon would be UCG.
Important Note: There can be some variation in the third position of the anticodon (the "wobble position"). This means that a single tRNA might be able to recognize more than one mRNA codon.
Therefore, the tRNA sequences that pair with the mRNA AUG ACU AGC are:
* UAC
* UGA
* UCG
