    Enterobacter aerogenes has peritrichous flagella.

    This means that the flagella are distributed all over the surface of the bacterium, giving it a "fuzzy" appearance under a microscope. This allows for movement in any direction, as opposed to monotrichous (single flagellum at one pole) or lophotrichous (multiple flagella at one pole) arrangements.
