  • Endocrine System: How Hormones Regulate Your Body
The system that sends chemicals through your body is the endocrine system.

    Here's why:

    * Hormones: The endocrine system produces and releases hormones, which are chemical messengers that travel through the bloodstream to target cells and organs.

    * Regulation: These hormones regulate a wide range of bodily functions, including growth, metabolism, mood, reproduction, and more.

While the nervous system also uses chemicals (neurotransmitters) for communication, these primarily travel across short distances between nerve cells. The endocrine system, on the other hand, relies on the bloodstream to deliver hormones throughout the body.
