  • Cecropia Moth Caterpillars: What They Eat & Their Impact
    Cecropia moths, like all moths, don't eat anything as adults. They are designed solely for reproduction, and their mouths are underdeveloped.

    However, their caterpillars, called larvae, are voracious eaters! They feed almost exclusively on leaves of various trees, particularly:

    * Maple trees

    * Birch trees

    * Willow trees

    * Cherry trees

    * Poplar trees

    * Elm trees

    * Apple trees

    They can be quite destructive to these trees, especially if there are large populations of caterpillars present.
