  • Animal Cells: Location and Functions in the Body
Animal cells are found in all parts of an animal's body. They make up all the tissues and organs, from your skin to your muscles, your brain to your heart.

    Here are some examples:

    * Skin: Animal cells form the outer layer of the skin, protecting the body.

    * Muscle: Muscle cells are long and fibrous, allowing for movement.

    * Brain: Nerve cells (neurons) in the brain transmit signals, enabling thought and action.

    * Heart: Heart muscle cells contract rhythmically to pump blood throughout the body.

    * Lungs: Lung cells facilitate gas exchange (oxygen in, carbon dioxide out).

    * Liver: Liver cells help filter blood and detoxify harmful substances.

Basically, anywhere you find an animal, you'll find animal cells!
