  • DNA Complement: Understanding Base Pairing and Strand Complementarity
    The complement to a DNA strand that reads ATCG is TAGC.

    Here's why:

    * Adenine (A) always pairs with Thymine (T).

    * Cytosine (C) always pairs with Guanine (G).

    So, to find the complement, you simply replace each base with its corresponding partner:

    * A becomes T

    * T becomes A

    * C becomes G

    * G becomes C
