  • Decomposer Bacteria: Kingdom, Role & Importance
Decomposer bacteria belong to the Kingdom Monera (also known as Kingdom Bacteria).

    Here's why:

    * Monera is the kingdom that includes all prokaryotic organisms, which are single-celled organisms lacking a true nucleus and other membrane-bound organelles.

    * Decomposer bacteria are a specific type of bacteria that break down dead organic matter (plants and animals) into simpler substances, recycling nutrients back into the environment.

    * While they are sometimes grouped into a separate kingdom called Bacteria (or Eubacteria), they still fall under the broader category of Monera.

So, while there might be some confusion, it's accurate to say that decomposer bacteria belong to the Kingdom Monera.
