  • Mammal Cloning: Which Country Leads the Way?
The most cloned mammal to date is the transgenic sheep, Dolly, who was cloned by scientists in Scotland in 1996. Since then, more than 20 different species of mammals have been cloned, including mice, rats, rabbits, pigs, cows, goats, monkeys, and dogs.

It is important to note that cloning is still a very inefficient and expensive process, and it is only used for research purposes. There are no commercial applications of cloning, and there are no plans to clone humans.
