  • Ciliated Columnar Cells: Structure, Function & Locations
    The cells that are tall and rectangular and have cilia are the ciliated columnar epithelial cells. These cells are found in the lining of the respiratory tract, the fallopian tubes, and the ventricles of the brain. They have a tall, columnar shape with a large nucleus at the base of the cell. The cilia are hair-like projections that extend from the apical surface of the cell and help to move mucus and other particles.
