  • Fibroblasts: The Key Cells in Connective Tissue Production
The connective tissue cell responsible for the synthesis and secretion of fibers is the fibroblast. Fibroblasts are the most common type of cell found in connective tissue. They are responsible for the production of collagen, elastin, and other proteins that make up the extracellular matrix. Fibroblasts also play a role in wound healing and tissue repair.
