    The cell structure that is lacking in animal cells but present in plant cells is the cell wall. The cell wall is a rigid structure located outside the cell membrane in plant cells. It provides strength and support to the plant cell, helping it to maintain its shape and protect its contents. Animal cells, on the other hand, do not have a cell wall.
