Memeosis is not a real term. Perhaps you meant "meiosis" which is the specialized type of cell division that reduces the chromosome number by half to create reproductive cells or gametes with haploid sets of chromosomes, as opposed to normal body cells or somatic cells that are created with diploid sets of chromosomes through mitosis.
