Aristotle and the Foundation of Zoology: Understanding His Biological Contributions
Aristotle is not considered the father of biology, rather he is known as the "father of zoology". He made significant contributions to the field of biology, particularly in the area of animal classification and observation, but did not establish the entire field. The term "father of biology" is often attributed to the Swedish botanist Carl Linnaeus, who is credited with developing the system of binomial nomenclature and is widely considered the founder of modern taxonomy.
