  • Endocrine & Nervous Systems: How They Regulate Your Body
    1. Endocrine System

The endocrine system is a network of glands that produce and secrete hormones directly into the bloodstream. These hormones travel throughout the body and regulate various physiological processes, including growth, metabolism, reproduction, mood, and homeostasis.

    2. Nervous System

The nervous system consists of the brain, spinal cord, and nerves. It controls all bodily functions through electrical signals and chemical messengers called neurotransmitters. The nervous system is responsible for processing information, coordinating movement, regulating body temperature, and responding to stimuli from the environment.

Both the endocrine system and the nervous system work together to maintain balance and stability in the internal environment of the body. They communicate and coordinate their actions to regulate functions such as heart rate, blood pressure, digestion, and sleep-wake cycles. Dysregulation or imbalances in either system can lead to various health problems and diseases.
