  • Understanding Cloning: Processes and Techniques
The process of cloning produces clones. Cloning involves creating a genetically identical copy of an existing organism. Cloning can be achieved through various techniques, such as asexual reproduction, tissue culture, and embryo splitting. In asexual reproduction, an individual produces offspring genetically identical to itself without involving sexual reproduction. Tissue culture involves growing cells or tissues in a controlled environment to produce genetically identical copies. Embryo splitting, also known as embryo cloning, involves separating the early-stage embryo into multiple individual embryos, each of which can develop into a separate individual with the same genetic makeup.
