The endomembrane system is a network of membranes that are found in eukaryotic cells. It includes the nuclear envelope, endoplasmic reticulum, Golgi apparatus, lysosomes, and vacuoles. The centromere is a specialized region of the chromosome that is responsible for attaching the chromosome to the spindle during cell division. It is not part of the endomembrane system.
