    The human skeleton is the framework of bones that supports and protects your body organs such as the skull that encloses the brain, the rib cage around the heart and lungs, and your back bones protecting the brain. Bones connect joints to give the ability to move, and store many different minerals, most importantly calcium.

    The adult bones make up about twelve percent of our body.
