  • Understanding Focus Issues in Wet Mount Microscopy
The living organism has a three-dimensional structure. As you move throught the different layers or levels, different parts come into focus. Some parts might be very thin, like an edge of a cell membrane, and will appear to move in and out of focus very quickly, while thicker structures, such as the nucleus of a cell, will take longer to move out of focus.
